Daniel entered this world with two challenges, several disabilities and a burning desire to succeed.  Daniel was always inquisitive of his Great Grandmother Maria Lufriu's tools for making premium hand rolled cigars, which she used over 100 years ago in the cigar factories of Ybor City Tampa, Florida.  Learning that cigars are a special part of his Cuban Heritage was his inspiration to continue the legacy and be the next generation to provide the same quality and personal attention his Great Grandmother Maria provided to the industry in making premium cigars for the enjoyment of cigar aficionados.  With the help of his parents Jack and Dina Peters his brother Jonathan, Carol Buckner of BEST, and his Uncle George Lufriu who all believed in his dream, Daniel formed Lufriu & Peters Cigar Company LLC.
